Inter-Club Relay Event

A club relay event (4 x 500m km) will be held at the NMBA Championship in 2023.

1. Clubs will be allowed to enter up to four (4) teams a week prior to the Championship, and will be allowed to nominate swimmers up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the relay event.
2. Each team must comprise two males and two females. 
3. Swimmers may only compete in one (1) team, may swim in any sequence, but may only swim one leg of the event.
4. There will be a junior and senior category. 
5. Only swimmers that have completed a 3 km, 5 km or 10 km event at the NMBA Championship and are registered with the club entering the team may be entered into that club’s team(s).
6. Swimmers shall wear club caps only during the relay event.
7. All teams will start together.

Medals will be awarded to the top three teams at the prize giving ceremony immediately after the event.

Points will be awarded to clubs towards the Club Trophy.
