Global Diabetes 5km

Step out for Diabetes

The number of people with diabetes rose from 108 million in 1980 to 422 million in 2014. Prevalence has been rising more rapidly in low- and middle-income countries than in high-income countries.

Diabetes is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke and lower limb amputation

Across the globe, it’s estimated that a limb is amputated every 30 seconds, and 85% of these amputations are due to a diabetic foot ulcer.

Over 200 deaths PER DAY are related to Diabetes in South Africa.

Join us at SOMETHING GOOD ROADHOUSE and let's TAKE A STEP FOR DIABETES by inviting a friend to join you in a 5km walk/run on Saturday 16th November 2024.
