Running Teams Info

Running teams of 5 members where each is required to cover the 3.5km lap of the course with the provided baton.

Entry Fees

R500 per team per race

Entry Fee includes:
- Team Timing
- Relay Baton
- Lucky draw prize giving token

Entries open 27 March 2017 

An additional R50 late entry fee will apply to all entries / payments received on race day.

Teams need to register for each and every race they wish to take part in during the Series - online website portal will ensure teams keep their same number and name throughout the Series. 

Only the team captain information and team name information is required for registration.

Prize Categories

Medals and Floating trophy for the winners in each of the following categories;

Men's Team
Ladies Team
Mixed Team

Race Rules

• The supplied relay baton must be handed over to the team member in the relay transition area
• In order to qualify for prizes, each leg of the relay must be run by a different participant
• No seconding or outside interference is allowed
• Team members must complete the relay in the order of their supplied race numbers
• Time Limit: the last team runner will be set off at 19:30 irrespective of whether their team has completed the 4th lap or not.
• Prizes and lucky draws are by attendance only and will not be kept or posted to participants not at the prize giving
• Objections, together with a R100 lodging fee, must be handed in to the race director within 15 minutes of the lodging team completing the race
• The race director's decision is final in all cases
• The minimum age for athletes is 14 years old
• No entry fee refunds will be given or carried forward for whatever reason
• Team changes may not be made after the start of the race
• Alcohol and food will be for sale on-site - no alcohol or food may be brought into the Stadium
• Strictly no wondering around the stadium is permitted. Only the teams current runner is permitted outside of the fenced off transition area.
