Giving back

We are EXTREMELY privileged to be able to enjoy and take part in events like the aQuellé Ocean Racing Series in Nelson Mandela Bay. Many in our local communities don't have such opporturnity or means and it's through events like this that we'd like to try and leave a legacy in this City by helping the less fortunate.

To achieve this we have appointed the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth Sunrise to assist during the Series and ask for your support by way of donations. The Rotarians offer a free bag drop off zone on race days and oversee your belongings whilst you race. They will also manage a water table for the Beach Run/Walk events.

Through donations received during the Ocean Racing Series, this morning Rotary club is able to put this towards their local projects centred around the upliftment of our local community. Your generosity on race days is greatly appreciated.

At each of the race days we also encourage all partcipants and families to recycle plastic bottles and bottles tops and a collection point will be available for such collection.

Masakhane Future Stars

The Ocean Racing Series is committed to supporting the Masakhane Future Stars Development program which affords children from disadvantaged communities the opportunity to take part in regular main stream sporting events. Through the financial support of local companies we have been able to accommodate between 50 and 100 youth into the Ocean Racing Series. If you would like to donate clothing or sporting equipment towards this initiative or if you have a company that may wish to make a cash donation in support of this initiative, please contact the Zsports office for further information.
