The Urban Run - Nelson Mandela Bay

Charity Goody Bag

The Urban Run South Africa offers what we believe is a pretty unique incentive for participants to raise money for charity.

The nominated charities at all our Urban Run events are responsible for putting together some really awesome Goody Bags for all the participants.

In the spirit of the Urban Run SA events, we encourage participants to raise as much money as possible for the nominated charities each year and to try and achieve this, the charities REWARD the participants for their extra efforts by having 4 different Goody Bags available at registration.

To further minimise congestion at each of the Urban Obstacles along the route, the race is started in batches. Batches start about 5 minutes apart and the participants batch (and subsequent goody bag) is determined by the amount of money raised.

Our (tongue in cheek) batches for the Urban Run South Africa events are as follows;

Urban Run South Africa - Goody Bags

  • DAWDLER - those raising between R100 and R149
  • RUSTLER - those raising between R150 and R299
  • BESEECHER - those raising between R300 and R499
  • ALTRUIST - those legends of the Urban Run raising R500 or more

See the Charity Incentives page for an indication of what to expect in each of the different Goody Bags.

PLEASE NOTE- The 2017 Urban Run t-shirts are not included in the Dawdler Bags. If you feel you aren't able to raise R150 or more for charity and still want to get the 2017 t-shirt, these are available through our products page.
