Just a friendly reminder of the following please:

  • The AG Sprint (and Junior sprint) race is draft legal
  • The AG Standard race is non-draft
  • Due to the possibility of strong winds in NMB, it may be decided that no disk wheels are allowed, for the athletes’ safety. So, athletes who plan on racing with disk wheels must bring “normal” wheels with, in case there are strong winds and athletes are not able to use disk wheels.

Collection of Regional Race Packs

ONE Team Manager / Representative to collect ALL their Regions race packs on Friday 29th October at Race Village between 2pm and 4pm.  

What’s needed by ALL ATHLETES

  • Download FinishTime Passport phone app from your Play / Apple Store.
  • App Store (, Play Store (
  • Fill in the Personal Information section (app can take personal info for up to 5 people if necessary)
  • On RACE DAY, open app, select relevant event and answers Covid Questions until you get to the QR code - then report to CHECK-IN counter.
  • PLEASE NOTE - The SA Duathlon Championships WILL ONLY appear under the races category on Friday night/ Saturday morning to ensure the most accurate responses to the Covid questions.
  • Please ONLY ARRIVE for your allocated Bike Check-in slot.
  • You will be scanned in & temperature checked on arrival. (Covid protocol)
  • Racking on race number only - at your number.
  • A race belt is compulsory for our triathlon events (available for purchase online or at the event for R100 if necessary).
  • A velcro FinishTime timing chip strap is needed for this event (available for purchase online or at the event for R20 if necessary).

Covid-19 regulations at this event

  • Masks are compulsory and must be worn at ALL TIMES prior to your gun start. Dispose in bins when indicated at start.
  • Social distancing must be adhered to at all times when checking-in, racking bikes or waiting in the start area.
  • Screening as indicated above is compulsory for everyone in the race village area
  • Unfortunately at this time no formal registration functions, race briefings, meet & greet sessions and/or prize giving ceremonies will take place for this event
  • No Massage or Physio services will be available and no sponsor activation areas will be permitted.
  • All athletes are encouraged to leave the race village area as soon as possible after they finish and, as long as they don't interfere with athletes still racing, they may collect their bike and transition kit immediately after they finish.
  • Successfully screened persons will get a colour coded tyvek wrist band which needs to be kept on at all times throughout the day.
  • Persons who don't pass screening must leave the area and seek immediate medical advise. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT SPECTATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THIS EVENT - supporters, family/friends who are in the area are encouraged to take advantage of the Something Good Roadhouse but are reminded that the will not be permitted to hang around the event area.
