Our next People's Triathlon in Port Elizabeth will be taking place on 22nd February 2025

RACE ENTRY

Online registration ONLY through this website - click ENTER NOW button (above right) to register.

* Your entry fee is strictly NON-REFUNDABLE for whatever reason - however your entry fee is fully transferrable at an admin fee of R100 up until the close of entries on 14th February 2025 by way of discount coupon to 3rd party taking over your entry (upon written request).

LATE ENTRIES CLOSE MIDNIGHT 14th February 2025 - no exception, please don't ask. EFT payments are to be done within 24hrs of entry being made.

TSA LICENCE - TSA license is compulsory (permanent / temporary issue) - entry fees shown above excludes temp license fees if applicab; Enter now page shows registration fee & temp licenses for the non-TSA categories (R167 for P90, R134 for P60, R55 for P30).

Age group results will be displayed for 17 - 18 (People's 30 only), 18 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 yrs + for the Individual category. Podium presentations will only be based on Overall Positions, as well as age group.

NO ADDITIONAL ONLINE BOOKING FEE is charged by our Zsports Events SA's online portal. 

RACE PACK COLLECTION | MEET & GREET

We will have a Registration function at The Town Lodge Hotel Conference Centre (old John Dory's venue), Town Lodge hotel on Friday 21st February 2025) afternoon 5pm-7pm. Collection of race pack, Meet & Greet and a Race Briefing will take place at this function. Underground parking at the Town Lodge hotel is highly recommend for your own safety.

PRIZE TEMPLATE

No cash prize money is offered for these events.

Podium prizes will be available for the Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each of the races and podium recognition for age - groups

THE PEOPLE'S TRIATHLON ENTRY INCLUDES

For all our race Finisher's we will also have a limited-edition Finisher's gift.

Zsports will ensure there is a kit tray in transition below your race number. Please note this tray is to remain in transition at all times and remains the property of Zsports.

ENTRY FEE REFUNDS / ENTRY TRANSFER POLICY

Unfortunately, due to the administrative and logistical costs of an event of this nature, we have a NO REFUND or carry forward policy for our events. However, we have introduced the ability to transfer your entry at any stage before race weekend at a cost of just R100. It is the withdrawing athlete's responsibility to find a suitable replacement for their entry and such replacement is required to register online in the applicable race category in order to be eligible for entry. Zsports will not entertain or respond to any emails requesting a refund or carry forward of an entry. 

KEY RACE DETAILS

This event will be officiated under the ITU / TSA Competition rules and is a NON-DRAFTING Event where cyclists are asked to kept left, pass on the right. 

As a non-drafting race, Tri Bars are permitted in accordance with TSA/ITU rules. Mountain Bikes / Time Trial Bikes are permitted. TT, road, mountain and hybrid bikes may be used. Recumbent and electric bikes are not permitted. The use of disc wheels will be weather dependent and those with disc wheels are reminded to ensure they bring along a spare set of normal spoked wheels should the call be made on race morning to disallow disc wheels. 

Cut-off times are strictly enforced for safety reasons. All participants register on the full understanding and permission that if they are asked to leave the course they will do so immediately and without argument. 

CUT-OFF TIMES

RACE STARTS - People's 90 & People's 60 - 07h00 Men / 07h05 Ladies, People's 30 as soon as possible after the Ladies start.

SWIM LEG - 1hr 10min after last People's 90 gun start (08h15) 

CYCLE LEG - 4hrs 30min after last People's 90 gun start (11h35)

RUN LEG - 8hrs 00min after last People's 90 gun start (15h05) 

RACE Cut Off Time: 8hrs 00min after last People's 90 gun start (Aid station stops and transitions are included in your total time)

Once cut-off has been reached, any road closures WILL be opened and those participants who are still on the course may be taken off for safety reasons (especially in the cycle leg). 

PLEASE NOTE: the above cut-off times (time of day not your race time) applies to the People's 60 & 30 events as well.

TRANSITION AREA

Transition will open between 06h00 - 06h50 for Bike Check-in where TSA officials will check your helmet, bike, placement of race numbers and your supplied swim cap on entry.

Bike and kit removal from transition will be advised by a Technical Official after the last cyclist is in transition. Only our supplied transition box and your race kit is permitted beneath your designated rack - a special secure area for bag drop-off will be available to receive your well-marked bag.
